Nobles and Greenough forward Miles Wood, by far and away the best player in the Independent School League, has decommitted from Brown University per Mark Divver of the Providence Journal. If you look at the amount of Nobles kids BC has been able to get over the years (Calnan, Gilmour, Arnold, Hayes to name a few), this get would be perhaps the biggest of them all. This kid is absolutely tremendous. I would say he is the best player I have seen in the ISL in a long time, right up there with Hanifin. He is big, has a powerful stride, can shoot the puck as good as anyone, and plays in all situations for the Bulldogs.
Like it usually is, the race for Wood will probably come down to two schools. Boston College and Boston University. According to sources, Wood is looking to accelerate and come next fall, I'm just not sure if BC has the room right now. Anyways, if the staff can land him, it would be one heck of a win.
Wood is a 2013 draft pick of the New Jersey Devils (4th round). 1995 birthday.
Go Eagles.
