Santini Practicing

Yesterday, the Eagles traveled down the road to practice at Larz Anderson rink in Brookline, something they try and do it once every season. If you haven't been, I highly recommend going for a skate there, it's a tremendous experience.

Anyways, the most important news of the day is that defenseman Steven Santini practiced without a red no contact jersey, a sign that he could be good to go in a huge weekend series vs a red-hot Northeastern team. If Santini were to return, I would expect the staff to go back with the pairings they had at the start of the season- Hanifin-Santini, Matheson-Savage, McCoshen-Doherty. They'll probably cut into Doherty's penalty kill time with The Sheriff's return (although #4 proved he can certainly be a reliable penalty killer). Obviously, McCoshen, Hanifin, Matheson, and Dots will remain on the two power play units.

Note- I didn't mention that Santini took warm ups with the team this weekend before taking his equipment off and joining the staff on the bench.

Once we get a final word, we'll let you know.

Go Eagles.
