Today, Andy Johnson of Bucky's Fifth Quarter (a Wisconsin blog) reported that top Badger recruit Brock Boeser has decommitted from Wisconsin and will look at other NCAA options. The 5'11 forward out of Burnsville High School (MN) currently leads the USHL in goals (10), he has recorded 19 points in 13 games played. He is a projected first round pick in the 2015 NHL draft
This is exactly what the program needs to get the recruiting momentum back in the long running recruiting war with BU. Add Boeser to a group that includes Colin White, Jeremy Bracco, Chris Brown, Joey Dudek, and Miles Wood, and we're looking at a loaded front 12 for the maroon and gold.
Expect Minnesota to be the front-runner.
What a get this would be. Come on.
Go Eagles.
Sanford and McCoshen both played for Boeser's current team, the Waterloo Blackhawks. Get him to visit Boston College!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTom Novak, Tyler Sheehy, and Sam Rossini (all Gopher recruits) play with Boeser at Waterloo right now. Sheehy and Rossini played high school hockey with Boeser at Burnsville. In fact, he grew up playing with and against most of the guys on the Gopher roster and the guys committed to Minnesota. Do you really think a couple guys who played on the same junior team as he does before he got there will be a factor?
DeleteMcCoshen also grew up with and played with and against most of the players on the Gopher team. Not every player from MN wants to play for the Gophers.
ReplyDeleteNice straw man. I never said they all do. A pretty big majority do though.
DeleteAnd YOUR point was that he'd want to play for BC because a few guys on your team used to play for Waterloo. My point was, if acquaintances are what is important to him, no school would be a better fit than Minnesota.
