Previewing the UMass Minutemen (for a second time)

Another long road trip for the Eagles tonight, as the travel out to Amherst to take on the Minutemen of UMass. UMass has really struggled as of late, losing @ UNH 7-3 last night dropping their record to 1-4-2. The star for the Minutemen is SR. TJ Syner. Syner leads the team in points with ten and is one of the fastest forwards in the league. If BC gives the effort they gave last night vs Maine, they could win this game big. Parker Milner has been on the top of his game as of late, and expect that to continue tonight at the Mullins Center. When BC beat  UMass 4-2 on 10/21, they controlled the pace and were all over the Minutemen, so I am expecting more of that to happen tonight. With BC rolling as of late, this could be one of those old trap games.  But really, when was the last time BC lost one of these old little trap games under Coach York ? I personally, will be making my first trip out there tonight, so check in for updates on Twitter @bchockeyblog1.

Keys for Eagles

1. Keep it going. Great effort last night vs Maine, another great effort would be great heading into next weekend.

2. Don't get caught up in the penalties. There's only two ways UMass can win this game. BC takes to many penalties, which was a problem last time vs the Minutemen and Parker Milner is off, but don't expect that to happen based on his solid play all season long.

3. Avoid the turnovers. Another problem last time vs UMass were the turnovers at our own Blue Line.    Need to avoid those tonight to ensure a victory.

Last Time Out- Eagles won in Chestnut Hill 4-2 on 10/21.

Prediction- BC keeps it rolling, 5-2 BC.

Countdown- Almost one week till the Terriers come down Comm Ave.
